The platform is also home to eTwinning, the community for schools in Europe, which has fostered innovation, communication, and collaboration since 2005. The European School Education Platform is funded by Erasmus+, the EU's programme for education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It is operated for the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission by European Schoolnet.
