Welcome to our Youtube channel " Yousaf e karbala "
Azadari is a term commonly used in the Shia Muslim community to refer to the mourning and remembrance of the tragic events of Karbala, in which Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, was martyred along with his family and companions. In Seraiki, the language spoken in some parts of Pakistan and India, Azadari is also known as "Sughar," which means mourning or lamentation.
During the month of Muharram, which is the first month of the Islamic calendar, Shia Muslims all over the world hold mourning ceremonies to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and his companions. These ceremonies are characterized by various rituals and practices such as recitation of elegies (Nohas), mourning processions (Jaloos), and self-flagellation (Matam) to express grief and sorrow.
