Official channel of portuguese composer Bruno M. Miranda.
Bruno had an early introduction to music. His grandmother, a former lyric soprano and also a pianist, taught him the first steps in the world of classical music. Years later, he was admitted at the Lisbon National Conservatory where he was taught Music Theory, Piano, Choir singing, Acoustics, History of Music and Analysis and Composition Techniques. At the Conservatory, he played regularly as a soloist in piano recitals.
The talent for composition was developed in those years at the Conservatory, where he had the chance to have composition classes with famous Portuguese composers like Eurico Carrapatoso.
Bruno's music is not restrained to a certain style, you can find on his repertoire works written in a pure classical period style, as well works in a more "film music" mood and, lately, in the minimal/post modern style.
His works for choir, orchestra, and piano have been played in countries like Portugal, France, Egypt, Iran.
