To my community,
4 years 1 month and 13 days ago I made my first Splatoon video. Tonight after over 30,000 subscribers, 1139 days, 529 posts, 50 pounds of weight loss, 3 household moves, 2 cars, 2 stints in college, and 1 parental death I'll be hosting my final Splatoon stream. This will be the last piece of Splatoon content I'll be making. To say its been a crazy journey doesn't come even remotely close to being an understatement. Through all of its ups and downs I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I started this channel at 17 with a dream and some free time. Tomorrow I start the next chapter of my YouTube career. I hope to share with all of you the amazing impact fitness has had on my life. I have something to ask from each one of you. Give a few videos a try. While they may not be Splatoon videos anymore, they're still made by the person that made you want to subscribe here to begin with. I want the best for all of you and my goal with this new phase of my content is to show you all the ways you can go about being your best selves. I will be uploading every day for the foreseeable future. The Splatoon days may be over, but that doesn't mean gaming won't be happening over here anymore. I'll be live once at least once a week playing a game of mine or you guys' choice. Who knows. Maybe one day one of those games will be Splatoon again (but for now, I think I'm overdue for a long break from this game๐
). There are so many people I'd like to thank for helping me along the way. To call out a few: Anyone who's ever donated in a stream and all of you who hit subscribe, none of this would be possible without you. For some personal ones:
Connor: My little PoptartTV, if you didn't hold the camera things wouldn't have gotten done over here. I'm proud of you and the direction you're going in. Lock tf in Connie. I believe in you.
Katrina: The best sister anyone could ask for. If it weren't for our talk a few weeks ago I'd probably still be working in a warehouse. Now I'm chasing the dream that when I started this I'd have never thought would be this important to me.
Joe: I remember texting you late at night about whether or not I should make my own channel while Anti Piracy was blowing up. You told me I should go for it. Nothing's ever been the same since then. Heres to all our projects to come in the future, and a banger video game coming next year.
Mom: Any reasonable parent would disown their child for the crazy decisions I've made over the last 4 years. I thank God every day that I was blessed with an equally crazy mother. I love you mama.
Dad: You didn't understand this whole YouTube thing, that never mattered to you though. Never once did you have a discouraging thing to say about me pursuing this dream of mine. I know you're looking down on me with anticipation to see what comes next. I loved you when you were here and I'll love you til I see you again.
I couldn't ask for a better community. I never wanted to have the typical "Splatoon community" audience. So every time you guys have come up with an even more creative way to degrade me and put me down it always made me smile. I wanted a group of people I could joke with, laugh with, make fun of, and build a community of awesome people who I look forward to talking to when I turn the camera on. Thats exactly what I got and I couldn't be happier about it.
As one chapter ends and the next begins, I look forward to all of the new high highs and low lows that we'll all go through together.
