How to find the family you never knew you had... without even trying.
I managed to go 56 years without ever knowing a single thing about my biological parents, or the circumstances surrounding my adoption. Then, on a whim, I decided to take a DNA test... and suddenly I knew so much that it was almost overwhelming. Now, I'm getting to know the biological father who wanted to keep me but couldn't... I'm starting to learn about my seven half-siblings... and I've discovered that I can now trace my family back over 13 generations, to the British Colony of Jamestown, Virginia.
This is just another new chapter in what I already consider to be a pretty amazing life. If you feel like hearing a few interesting stories, you should walk a mile in my shoes.
