We are a husband and wife team who recently bought 34 acres in southern Maryland and had a modern farm house and a 2240 square foot pole barn built.

We hope to inspire you to continue to learn basic concepts of self-sufficiency and self-reliance using an inspired idea, a newly learned skill or by leveraging your own creative mind.

Anticipate educational, how-to content where we demonstrate, guide and mentor others who want to learn new skills that include tools and there uses, chickens, chicken coops, tractors, mowers, firewood, hunting, land management, simple building projects, off grid cabin building and gardening. We will also explore topics in modern farmhouse design, decorating, cooking, canning and many more undertakings that result in a functional homestead that you can enjoy.

We are also very interested in helping address the skills gap that may be prevalent in todays society.

Our belief is that if you take care of your homestead, it will take care of you.
