Former Special Forces Ben Gallagher suffered life changing injuries whilst serving in the military on active duty. Following complex trauma Ben went through a long period of recovery including months of rehabilitation but resilience, optimism and determination are qualities that highlighted his consistent drive to succeed before becoming a Professional Athlete.
Ben has gone on to achieve many great things and shares his story of overcoming adversity before going on to complete tough endurance events, arduous expeditions and competing in elite sports. He is also an advocate for mental health having suffered and been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder.
His aim is to inspire others to think beyond the conventional, and not let their circumstances limit their ambition.
