Hi, I’m Chris (Critter) Newberg. For the past several years, I’ve dreamt of recording and releasing a collection of Christmas tunes with my friends and calling it Christmas at Critter’s. Unfortunately, that idea always came right around the start of December and there was never enough time to make a record. This year was different.
At a Sunday Funday in August, I had my bandmates from Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys along with our friends from Melophobix and The Legal Immigrants over for a pool party. Following an ideal serving of Moscow mules and sausage, I started talking about my dream to make a Christmas album. Much to my surprise, everyone was emphatically on board. We decided then and there to do this thing. A week later, we recorded Run Rudolph Run live at my house. For the next three months, we turned the first level of my house into a fully-functional recording studio and took to making some holiday magic.
