The choir of St.Mesrop Mashtots church in Oshakan was set up in 2005,by the initiative of the diocese of Aragatsotn and chorus conductor Arno Barkhudaryan.It consists of 12 professional lady-singers.The repertoire of the choir includes Armenian folk and sacred music,European classic and contemporary compositions,Russian falk songs.For several times it performed on tour in different districts of Armenia.In 2010 the Head of Armenia Diocese of Georgia,His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan invited the choir to sing before the Armenia audience of St.Echmiadzin and St.George churches of Tiflis.In 2011 by the invitation of the Ministry of Defence of Armenia the group went to Nagorno-Karabakh.In January 2012,at the initiative of the Russian Center for Sci-ence and Culture in Yerevan,the choir gave a festive concert dedicated to the Russian-Armenian Commonwealth
