It’s not easy—there will be many challenges—but nothing beats the feeling of success at the end of each project you take on.
The big challenge is making the decision to buy vacant land and build from scratch on a basic salary. It’s frustrating but it’s incredibly rewarding as you progress. I’m grateful for this journey because I’ve learned that I can be a plumber, electrician, builder, mechanic, carpenter, farmer, and husband. This has saved me so much labor money out of my pockets.
I’ve learned how boreholes work, installed a filtration system for clean, fresh water from the ground, set up a 24V solar system to power the house, and upgraded it to 48V.
