SBS is a Korean terrestrial broadcasting network that is using the public airwaves and SDF is SBS’s signature nonprofit knowledge-sharing project that is designed to promote the common good of society. In 2004, SBS launched its two major nonprofit forum platforms, SDF (formerly the Seoul Digital Forum) and FKR (formerly the Future Korea Report). Since then, SBS has taken a step forward to examine first, how technology is changing the world we live in, and second, what subjects Korea has to have interests in for its future. Now, in an era when it is not meaningful any more to see technology and social problems separately, we present SDF’s Second Season in the name of SBS D Forum, which is the convergence of the two previous platforms. The goal is to more efficiently respond to changes and also to form a closer relationship with our viewers. The new SBS D Forum (SDF) will overcome the technology-focused perspective and take a collective in-depth look at the problems we face in society.
