We are the Mitchell's. There's Ellen, Charles, Emily and our identical twin boys, Leo and Max. We were surprised to find out we were expecting twins when Emily was only 13 months old! So we began documenting this exciting and scary time. The excitement soon turn to fear and uncertainty when we discovered the risks involved with identical twin pregnancies. At a routine 16 week scan, a heart defect was detected in Twin B (Max). Long story short, after open heart surgery and other medical complexities, Max is here and he is doing fantastic!
Our life is crazy and chaotic but also filled with so much joy and love. We are so grateful for our little family and want to spend as much time together, learning and creating memories in this beautiful world.
