The MyState Student Film Festival was created by MyState Bank to celebrate and nurture the talent of students across Australia. The Festival is open nationally for young people to showcase their talent and creativity in the visual arts. If you’re a student from anywhere in Australia, we’re inviting you to make & enter your original short film in this year’s Festival. You don't have to be an experienced filmmaker to take part—all you need is an idea, your imagination, a few helpful friends, and a bit of good old-fashioned resourcefulness. The films entered will be judged by our panel of film industry experts and have the chance to share in thousands of dollars of cash and prizes. The winners will be announced at the Festival Awards Event in Hobart in December.
