The Columbus Urban League (CUL) is communityâbased, public nonâprofit advocacy organization, whose mission is to empower African Americans and disenfranchised groups through economic, educational and social progress.
The CUL, an affiliate of the National Urban League, was founded in 1918 and is one of the largest and most prestigious community based organizations in Central Ohio. Ranked 7th in the 98-affiliate network of the Urban League movement nationally, the CUL also stands as one of the oldest in the United States.
The Columbus Urban League delivers 19 different consumer-based programs that provide Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary & Adult Education Services, Workforce Development & Career Services, Housing Support Services & Community Outreach to special populations in Central Ohio.
