In 2011, as a result of their increasing military business, Mack Defense was created as a separate LLC from Mack Trucks, Inc. Mack Defense operates independently of the commercial division with their own engineering, parts, order/specification, and front office departments. Mack Defense offers both commercial-based and armored specialty vehicles, but manages the entire sales and delivery process no matter what the base platform. Part of the Volvo Group, Mack Defense, LLC benefits from a greater resources, increased product portfolio, and a worldwide sales and support network.
