Shaikh Ahsan, born & hails from Gulbarga. He completed his BFA (Applied Arts) and MVA (Visual Arts) from Gulbarga University, bagging Gold and Silver medals respectively, for his graphic works. He has worked as the Creative Head and Senior Visualizer in various industries and is currently the Creative Visualizer of Advertising Studio in Gulbarga.

‘I have explored new paths with some different techniques and styles creating something unique. Getting a good response and acceptance of the art form, even from people who do not understand the language, gave me the courage to explore more. As most of my works are a mix of calligraphy and Graffiti (Calli-Graffiti) it comes through as contemporary though I have done a few using traditional calligraphy from the Holy Quran and also works on Urdu / Arabic calligraphy very closely resembling Persian art as well’, says Ahsan.
