In the album "The Snake Charmer's Song" 3000 Worlds has created an enigmatic amalgamation of electronica, bass music, and ethno-dubwise centered around several field recordings collected on a journey through India.
At times the album is a twisting evolution of heavy downtempo drum beats and deep bass lines with enchanting melodic phrases on Pungi riding across the top. The ethno-dub style creates sonic flavors reminiscent of Bill Laswell and Squarepusher. At other times the album flows through ambient soundscapes and intense dub production with the gritty crunch of analog Space Echo delays and the largest, wettest reverbs that can be coaxed out of the springs and plates. Creating a full circle, the album also touches back with foundation roots reggae styles bridging cultures with tablas and sitars.
