I really can't believe I finally reached 1K subs! Yes, this means my channel is now "monetized" in the sense that I finally get a few pennies from the YouTube dollars across my channel. This is by no means going to allow me to quit my job, but it will allow me to fund my content to keep making it better. My next goal is to save to get a better camera (my phone is good, but not great) and I'd also like to start getting some parts that are "wants" rather than "needs". The first one is coming soon, and (spoiler alert) it's for the truck.
I can't thank you all enough for following along with me. I set out a little over a year ago to see if I could build a channel worth investing my time into, and you guys have shown me that it is worth a continued investment. I frequently get positive comments from people who have found value in my content, and that's really the "WHY" behind my decision to try this in the first place.
So, here's to the next year being just as fruitful, and hopefully I can start doing some FUN projects. There's still a lot to do on the truck, I've started getting more requests for work on other people's cars that I'll be doing, and I'm really trying to get outside the box and try some things that challenge my skills.
Thanks again for sitting shotgun with me on this road trip so far, and here's to a fruitful 2025 for all of us!

Upon further review, I have reduced the cost of my channel membership and included all the "benefits" YouTube offers for the lowest amount I could set it to (apparently, you can't change the currency to peanuts) so you can now support my channel by becoming an exclusive member for a couple bucks, get some perks on my channel, and bring me that much closer to getting a two-post lift. I'll be honest...
I have no idea what all these pay options I just turned on do. It's basically just stickers and emojis and some other perks, but I don't imagine it could possibly be worth any money at all, let alone the preset amounts YouTube has for it.
Either way, you now have the option to support my channel and become an exclusive member of the Ben Wrenchin' community. I will always reply to comments as soon as possible, so don't worry that I'm hiding behind some pay wall. I'm not. I just hit enough subscribers and watch hours to turn on some perks that YouTube offers, so I really am just turning them on out of curiosity. Once I get a better idea what all is there, I'll probably lower the cost to something I feel is more reasonable.
This doesn't mean I'm "monetized" in the sense that everyone thinks of when they think of YouTube. My videos still don't make any money. Once I get to 1000 subscribers though...the pennies start rolling in!

With the power of AI, I have been experimenting with an updated logo. I have to say, AI is really cool, but it's just not quite there yet. Out of probably 100 iterations, these are the only ones with the correct text. The last one is a perfect example of how 95% of them look. I'm not in love with any of these, but this is still a really cool technology. What do you guys think?
