I don't argue tit for tat on personal behavior. People from all political stripes and belief systems misbehave. I stand on principles that transcend time and people. Trying to discredit ideas and principles based on an individual's bad behavior doesn't fly. Liberal policies are not bad because of what Bill Clinton did with Monica or because Ted Kennedy let a girl friend drowned. They made huge mistakes that require accountability. Liberal ideas could have played a part in that accountability is lacking. People who are conservative do stupid things too. Conservative principles are conservative principles, even if Rush Limbaugh opens up a whore house next week. We need to quit treating our preferred political party like we do our favorite football team or player. I don't cheer for the Republicans like I do the Denver Broncos. Winning isn't everything in politics. Sometimes we are screwed anyway. Which may be the case in 2008.
