Arfa Karim Randhawa, the young Pakistani tech geek, took the world by surprise when she became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) at the age of 9.Unfortunately, the little triumphant of the technological arena suffered from cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure and breathed her last on January 14, 2012 in Lahore. Although she left the world at the age of 16, her name got immortalized by the magnitude of her achievements.
Arfa Karim Foundation was established on 3 July 2012, supported by her parents in carrying out Arfa’s dreams even after her demise. The mission of this nonprofit organization is to spread knowledge through IT proliferation. We aim to do this by promoting E-learning, setting up IT labs in schools lacking necessary funds, setting up HRDCs in remote areas and opening smart schools; which are schools set up for talented children who do not have the financial means to attend proper schools.
