Georgios Zaimis, born in Katerini (Greece) in 1984, studied piano at the Katerini Conservatory, where he accompanied the municipal choir, performing in Greece and abroad (2002-2012). Parallel to his studies he was organist of the Greek Evangelical Church in Katerini (2002-2013). In 2009 he completed his bachelor’s degree in Musicology and Music Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his master’s degree in Video and Sound Production in 2013.
He lives in Germany with his wife since 2013 and worked initially as a church musician in Stuttgart. From 2015-2022 he worked as organist and choir director at the Martinskirche Sielmingen in Filderstadt. In March 2022, he completed his studies at the Tübingen University for Church Music, majoring in both classical and pop music. In March 2023 he completed the one-year internship for church music and from April 2023 he works as the District-Kantor Esslingen-Land based in Plochingen.
