Tela infuses Memphis soul with funk, rock and the grassroots sound of Southern hip-hop. He began his career in the late 1990s and landed a deal with Suave House Records where he dropped his critically acclaimed debut album âPiece of Mindâ. In 1997, he signed with Rap-A-Lot Records home to multi-platinum artists Scarface and Ghettoboys.
