Welcome to My Journey on life after Diagnosis of Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy.
My name is Jean and I have a Brain Disease, Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy or CAA as it is also known.
There is no cure at present for CAA.
C.A.A is a condition in which proteins called Amyloid build up on the walls of the arteries in the brain and make them brittle and prone to bleeding.
C.A.A is a condition that can cause a progressive loss of intellectual function (dementia), stroke, and other neurological problems.
C.A.A increases the risk for stroke caused by bleeding in the Brain.
My Journey takes in all of my health problems and might be of interest to you if you too are suffering these conditions.
I also have I.g.A Vasculitis. An auto immune disease.
I have recently had Hip Replacement surgery.
I have recently needed a Colonoscopy.
