Arya is a 18 Week old Northern Inuit dog. Northern Inuits were bred to look like wolves but with the gentle temperament and loyalty of a dog. For any Game of Thrones fans, Northern Inuits where used in Season 1 to look like the Dire Wolves each of the Stark Children had.
