Hey everybody, I just wanted to let you know my family has the flu. I'm over it at this point, and my son is finally headed back to school today. Thankfully, he only missed two days thanks to the long weekend. My wife has yet to show any symptoms, but she is a school teacher, so maybe she'll survive this round. My daughter, on the other hand, tested positive for Flu A on Tuesday evening, so she has maybe another day or so of off and on fevers. That being said, there will be no videos this week--at least, not at this point. See you all next week!

Great news! I've been accepted into a graduate program at St. Stephen's University. I'll be pursuing a Master of Art's in Theology and Culture. This degree plan includes a month of time studying abroad in Ireland and Scotland. I'm excited for this opportunity. If I'm able to receive a scholarship, financial aid, and support from local churches, I should start in January. When that happens, I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with the video and posting schedule you have gotten used to over the last couple of months, but we will learn together, and I will modify the schedule as my school work demands. Thank you for your continued support! We are one step closer to a PhD or doctoral program of some kind.

Here are two options for the next video series. What do y’all think?
The 1 Cor 13 series will be a short form version of a study I did on livestream several months ago. It will also serve as prep for the Blue Point Bible church conference I’ll be speaking at in November.
The sermon on the mount series will be basically just that—a study on Matthew 5-7.

My videos on covenant eschatology for next week may be postponed because of a sinus infection and a sick toddler. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find the time to film this weekend or not since our schedule has been compromised.

Over the next two weeks, I’ll be publishing ten 10-17 minute videos on covenant eschatology from 2 Corinthians 3.
As an experiment, I’ll be switching up my posting schedule. The shorter videos will publish at 5AM everyday (central). The longer class videos and sermons will go out at 3:00PM.

What are your thoughts on John’s account of the cleansing of the temple? Did Jesus cleanse the temple twice or once?
If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about, John places the cleansing of the temple at the start of Jesus’s ministry while Matthew, Mark, and Luke place it right before his death. This leads some to believe there are two district times when Jesus cleansed the temple.
Feel free to include your reasoning in the comments. I’ll be giving my thoughts in my article on John 2 (which posts October 9).
