Currently one of the most renowned and eagerly awaited event in Southern Sri Lanka, Thambarawila is a musical extravaganza like no other. Showcasing the multifaceted talent and ingenuity of engineering undergraduates, it explores the zenith of human emotion and intellect. Thambarawila is organized by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna in aid of the "Mehewara" fund for the development of the education of rural schoolchildren. Since its inception in 2012, Thambarawila has attracted thousands of alumni, professionals and popular artists from all over the island.
