John Kersey is an award-winning English classical pianist who graduated from the Royal College of Music as the top pianist of his year and has appeared in concert in Britain and Europe. He founded the niche recording label Romantic Discoveries Recordings which has issued over one hundred world première CD recordings of his performances of piano music of the Romantic era, including the first ever recording of a rediscovered Beethoven piano sonata and first recordings of music by Alkan, Mendelssohn, Reinecke, Huber, Golinelli, Jadassohn and Eduard Franck amongst many others. He was the first pianist to record the collected piano music of Walter Niemann (on 28 CDs).
"We, the audience, felt that the performer could reach into the soul and mentality of this composer and project him into our souls. It was here that one realised what a formidable technique and musical understanding John Kersey was privileged to own." - Fanfare – The Magazine of the Guild of Musicians and Singers
