Hi Uprisers! I'm Michelle. I'm a fourth generation Japanese-Okinawan American dreamer and entrepreneur. After college, I began to dig deep within to explore why I sensed a lack of identity; self and voice. I wanted to find my own super power and create impact that was bigger than just myself. I took that leap of faith and I quit my job that ultimately started my entrepreneurial journey. The journey is hard, it still hard. UPRISERS is the representation of my truth to the world and have explored taking things a step further where streetwear can intersect with community and purpose. UPRISERS became a vehicle to hold space for conversations and tell stories rooted in the underrepresented.
