Regarding rice farming, I’ve been practicing sparse planting, which my father (a non-experienced farmer) was attempting until just before he passed away. His favorite phrase was, ‘Sparse planting is great!’ Despite being an adopted son-in-law, I decided to continue rice farming and made my full-fledged debut in 2017.
Although I work as a salaryman during weekdays, I spend my weekends doing agricultural work. I’m what you’d call a part-time farmer. During busy farming seasons, I might not get much rest, and there may be places I can’t visit or things I can’t do. However, working in the fields, basking in the morning sun, and feeling the breeze naturally brings peace to my heart.
