As a young teen, I first heard the legendary DJ Wolfman Jack broadcasting from Mexican border blaster 1570 XERF-AM just across from Del Rio, Texas. Later, I heard Wolfman on XERB-AM "The Mighty 1090." In 1979, I went to work for Wolfman Jack and enjoyed his friendship for many years before his death in 1995. I have done many things—working in the entertainment industry, in advertising and promotion, but radio has always been my first love. Now retired, I stay connected to Hollywood, the music business, and radio with a radio show produced at my home studio "Dan Acree's Weekend Rewind."
