As executive chef and owner of Equus & Jack's Lounge and Corbett's: An American Place, Dean Corbett has been a primary fixture in the Louisville dining scene since working at the legendary Casa Grisanti in 1982. From there, he built his own restaurant group beginning with Equus in 1995 and then Jack's Lounge in 2000, which received a "Best of Louisville" award 3 years in a row by Louisville Magazine. In 2008, he opened Corbett's: An American Place, which was named as one of Esquire's "Best New Restaurants." Corbett is also actively involved in supporting several charitable organizations, including Kosair Children's Hospital, Gilda's Club and Dare to Care.
