I'm setting out to prove that even in this crazy time, life can be mighty fine. We're going flying, y'all. And saying more yes to more fun, starting now. Plus, I have two book manuscripts to finish. Maybe this calls for a roadtrip.
Join me in my quest to become a certified lady pilot, as I study for the FAA written exams, schedule my glider checkride, and eventually earn the private pilot license I've been chasing off and on for 4 years. Flying videos and soaring videos are based at Airsailing, Nevada (NV23), just west of Pyramid Lake, southeast of Dead Cow Lakebed (home of the High Sierra Fly-in), way south of Black Rock Desert and the Burning Man playa. Also sometimes Reno-Stead Airport (KTRS), site of the world-famous Reno Air Races, if the smoke/virus ever clears...
We'll also be harvesting home-grown tomatoes and apples at Firebird's Farm this fall. Be real nice and you might get some.
