The Idiom Collection is an award-winning range of premium wines from the Bottega family’s Da Capo Vineyards, located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry’s Pass, and overlooking False Bay. The range consists of opulent, bold blends of noble varietals and single cultivar renditions of Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals, all uniquely expressed in a Cape idiom. Nestling at the foot of majestic granite mountains, the slopes vary in height from 200 to 350 metres above sea level and have aspects that face north, west and south. The soils contain decomposed granite, which is relatively shallow and stony in patches, with a clay base. The property is 150 hectares with 35 hectares under vine. The Bottega Family have opened a majestic new, world-class experience centre at Idiom: combining the Italian and South African heritage of the family.
