This channel is dedicated to Scottish Step dancing, a rich yet little known dance tradition also referred to as Ladies' Step Dancing. Most Scottish step dances are soft shoe (not to be confused with hard shoe Cape Breton step dance!). Each dance devised for a soloist, a duet, or a small group consists of "steps" - a fixed sequence of dance moves that are executed by changing basic foot positions. Hence the name "Step dancing". Numerous dance descriptions have been published, yet relatively few videos of these dances exist. Scottish Step Dancers from Moscow, Russia, aim at filling this gap here, on youtube.
