Paul was most recently seen singing in the comedy series PERFECT HARMONY on NBC, starring Bradley Whitford and Anna Camp. Before that he died on "The Orville" with Seth MacFarlane and toured live across the country in "the longest-running American musical" CHICAGO, as Amos, a role he performed twice on Broadway. He also starred on Broadway in HAIRSPRAY! as the mom, Edna Turnbald.
Originally from Buffalo, Vogt landed Hollywood recognition as the breakout star of NBC's The Rerun Show when he portrayed Mrs. Garrett from The Facts of Life. Then he became a permanent cast member on MADtv (FOX's successful late-night sketch comedy show) and appeared in several movies directed by renown film-maker Garry Marshall, including The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Valentine’s Day, Raising Helen and most recently in the upcoming film Mother’s Day.
