Hide tanning is an ancient art, one that has existed around the world for centuries. We are novices exploring a wide world of tanning approaches, techniques and histories. We feel so grateful for the opportunity to learn from those who have come before. Each hide is a treasure, it's own unique piece of art. Through our tanning we hope to become better stewards of this resource, to honor the animal and to pass on a craft that has been central to civilizations around the world since creation.
